The Philadelphia Chamber Ensemble is the oldest continuously performing chamber ensemble in Philadelphia and the only chamber group in residence in Society Hill, with all current or retired Philadelphia Orchestra members and guests, performing Trio in Eb Major, K. 498 for clarinet, viola and piano by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Variations au Clair de Lune for flute, harp, violin, viola and cello by Paul Pierne; Flute Quintet, Op. 493 for flute, harp, violin, viola and cello by Howard Blake; and Quintet in Eb Major, Op. 44 for piano and string quartet by Robert Schumann. Included is a reception following the concert, with refreshments and the opportunity to chat with the performers.
