The Philadelphia Chamber Ensemble is the oldest continuously performing chamber ensemble in Philadelphia and the only chamber group in residence in Society Hill, with all current or retired Philadelphia Orchestra members and guests, performing Concerto in D Major, RV. 93 for guitar, violin, viola, cello and bass by Antonio Vivaldi; Suite from the Victorian Kitchen Garden for clarinet and harp by Paul Reade; Oblivion arranged by Allen Krantz for flute, cello and guitar by Astor Piazzola; Histoire du Tango, Cafe 1930 for flute and guitar by Astor Piazzola; Bordel 1900 for flute and guitar by Astor Piazzola; and Septet in Eb Major, Op. 20 for violin, viola, cello, bass, clarinet, bassoon and horn by Ludwig van Beethoven.  Included is a reception following the concert, with refreshments and the opportunity to chat with the performers.
